Methodist Choir to Flood Kwabre East with Gospel Music in ‘The Robe Must Go To Town’ Event:

The Kwabre East Municipality is gearing up for a unique event as Methodist Church choirs from across the Kumasi diocese converge for the “Robe Must Go To Town” edition, hosted by the Pankrono Circuit. The specific place for this event is Mamponteng, the municipal capital on Saturday 19th April, 2025. Starting time will be 6:30 am

This initiative, spearheaded by the Diocesan Choir executive, including Chairman Professor Samuel Nortey, Vice Chairperson Mrs. Elizabeth Frempah, and Secretary Aboagye, aims to spread the gospel through hymns and praise on the streets.

Choristers will display placards with repentance messages, attracting passersby to experience God’s word of salvation.

Mr. James W. Tawia, Chairman of the Pankrono Circuit, expressed his circuit’s readiness for the event, confident that it will have a great impact. He stated that all Rev. Ministers, Lay Chairpersons, and Choristers are fully involved, urging all to embrace the program. He also thanked the organizers for selecting Pankrono as the host.

Choristers have expressed their enthusiasm to participate in the “Christ singing bash” through hymns and praises. Meanwhile, open places lorry stations, markets and other public places of  Mamponteng would all be flooded with “Black and White Robes plus Yellow T. Shirts of the mass choir.
