Napo offers financial lifeline and unity plea to Adum Blue Light fire victims:

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, has extended a helping hand to the victims of the recent devastating fire at the Kejetia Blue Light market, donating Gh¢150,000 and 500 bags of cement to aid in relief and rebuilding efforts. Napo, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, made the donation during a visit to the affected area, emphasizing the critical need for unity and collaboration among the traders as they navigate the challenging road to recovery.
The substantial donation comprises Gh¢100,000 drawn from the outstanding MPs Common Fund and Gh¢50,000 from Napo’s personal resources. He assured the traders that he would work diligently to expedite the release of any remaining funds due to them through the Common Fund.
“This is a difficult time, but it is also an opportunity for you to demonstrate your resilience and strength,” Napo stated during his address to the traders. “I urge you to stand together, support one another, and work as one united front to rebuild your livelihoods and your market.”
Furthermore, the former MP pledged the unwavering support of Ashanti MPs in assisting the traders in their pursuit of rebuilding the vital market. He specifically encouraged the traders to forge a united coalition and formally present their needs and requests to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the traditional ruler and custodian of the land on which the Kejetia market stands.
Napo underscored that a cohesive and inclusive approach, devoid of any discrimination, would be essential for the traders to achieve their shared goals of restoration and economic stability. He implored them to maintain calm and remain hopeful, expressing his firm belief that they will emerge stronger and more unified in the aftermath of this unfortunate incident.
“I have no doubt that with determination, unity, and the support of our leaders and the community, you will overcome this setback and rebuild Kejetia into a thriving hub once again,” Napo concluded. The donation and call for unity have been welcomed by the traders, who expressed their gratitude for Napo’s swift response and commitment to their well-being.
