Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, has donated GH₵200,000 and 1,000 bags of cement to traders affected by the devastating fire at the Adum PZ market in Kumasi.

During his official visit to the site, Bawumia commiserated with the victims and expressed his concerns about the fire outbreak that occurred last Friday.

Bawumia announced his support for the victims, stating that this would not be the end of his assistance. He assured them that he would return to visit again in the future. The former Vice President also thanked the Ghana Fire Service for their efforts in controlling the fire and called on individuals and traders to come together to support the victims.

Bawumia’s visit was accompanied by some Ashanti Regional executives, who joined him in assessing the damage and offering support to the affected traders. His donation aims to help traders rebuild their shops and recover from the losses incurred due to the fire.
