Tensions as Akrofuom residents demand reinstatement of excluded female DCE aspirant, allege foul play:

Tensions are high within the Akrofuom constituency NDC as residents protest the exclusion of Mrs. Cynthia Antwiwaa, a female District Chief Executive (DCE) aspirant, from the party’s vetting process.
The residents are accusing certain party executives, led by Constituency Chairman Gariba Mohammed Mustapha, of deliberately sidelining Mrs Cynthia Antwiwaa.
The residents claim that Mrs. Antwiwaa submitted all required documentation to the Constituency Secretary but was inexplicably excluded from the list of candidates to be vetted. They allege that Chairman Gariba, who is rumored to be seeking the DCE position himself, is behind the decision to undermine her candidacy.
“She contributed to over 50 percent of the NDC’s victory,” one resident stated. “We will not stand by and watch her being sabotaged.”
The group is urging both the regional and the national NDC authorities to intervene and ensure that Mrs. Antwiwaa receives a fair opportunity to be vetted. They have warned that failure to do so will negatively impact the party’s electoral prospects in the area.
