Former NDC chairman seeks Tafo MCE post to restore unity, address development deficit:

Uzman Naziru Hamza, the former NDC Chairman for the Tafo constituency and current Ashanti Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator, has expressed his readiness to serve as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tafo.
Following a successful vetting process, Hamza shared his vision and priorities with the media, emphasizing his commitment to unifying the community and fostering development.
Alhaji Hamza stated that he had prepared thoroughly for the vetting, answering all three questions posed to him correctly, leading to congratulatory remarks from the committee. He highlighted his qualities as a “unifier, hard-working, and team player,” essential traits he believes are necessary for the role of MCE.
Explaining his motivation to run for the position, Hamza mentioned that he left his position as Tafo constituency chairman eight years ago, leaving behind a unified party. He noted the current disunity within the area and revealed that NDC supporters had implored him to return, believing he can restore harmony.
Hamza stressed that his main priorities as MCE would include addressing the municipality’s infrastructure deficit, expanding the Tafo hospital, and improving healthcare services overall.
He affirmed that the health of the people is paramount, stating, “a healthy body is a healthy mind.” Additionally, he emphasized the need for job creation to address youth unemployment.
Hamza expressed his commitment to the development and well-being of the people of Tafo, adding that his accessible nature would not only attract more votes for the NDC but also ensure unity within the municipality. He concluded that as MCE, he would prioritize these goals.
