Deadly clash at mining site: 8 killed as miners battle military:

A violent confrontation between small-scale miners and military personnel guarding the AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) Obuasi Mine in Ghana has resulted in the deaths of eight people.

The clash, which reportedly occurred on the night of January 18th, also saw four vehicles set ablaze, as captured in a 40-second video shared by JOY NEWS.

The cause of the deadly conflict remains unclear, and tensions in the area are now significantly heightened.
