A Ghanaian sports analyst, Listowel Mensah, has called for an immediate move to bring back former Black Stars coach, Akwasi Appiah, who currently leads the Sudanese national team. Mensah argues that Appiah’s return is crucial for the Ghanaian national team’s success.

During a sports discussion on Accra-based Angel TV, monitored by Newspalacegh.Com, the visibly displeased pundit expressed his disappointment with the current leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the performance of the Black Stars under the current coach.

While the program host expressed doubt about Akwasi Appiah’s potential return, Listowel Mensah strongly insisted, “In fact, we need Akwasi Appiah at all cost. We need to go and beg him first, then negotiate with the Sudanese that we seriously need our man back. We will then have to add some cash to our current coach, Otto Addo, to make the deal more official and serious,” he asserted.

Mensah further suggested that influential figures such as the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Ashanti overlord, should intervene to persuade Akwasi Appiah to return to the Black Stars coaching job.
