Mahama vows decisive action, pledges honesty in addressing Ghana’s challenges:

President John Dramani Mahama has outlined his administration’s commitment to proactive leadership and transparency, promising decisive action and honest communication with the people of Ghana.

In his inaugural address, President Mahama acknowledged the challenges facing the nation but assured citizens that his administration will work diligently and directly, as he stated, “we will work to resolve the challenges that we face as a nation”. He vowed that he would always tell the truth to the nation, adding “I intend to always tell you the truth”.

He then emphasized his intention to act swiftly and decisively while recognizing the current difficult circumstances. “Even so, I’ll be decisive and swift in my actions,” he stated.

He specified that his administration’s initial efforts will be focused on four core areas, economic restoration and stabilization of the macroeconomic environment, improvement of the business and investment environment, governance and constitutional reforms, and accountability and the fight against corruption.
