Mussah Dankwa slams NDC for “echoing” NPP mistakes, warns against inflammatory rhetoric:

Musa Dankwa, Executive Director and Head of Research at Global InfoAnalytics, has strongly criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what he perceives as a failure to learn from the mistakes of the outgoing Akufo-Addo- NPP administration.
Dankwa’s remarks came in response to comments made by the Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the NDC, Anthony Nukpenu, regarding the Dome Kwabenya constituency brouhaha.
Nukpenu had expressed serious concerns about the safety of electoral officers during any intended rerun, stating that he could not guarantee their security and that the NDC did not support the re-run itself. These comments prompted a sharp rebuke from Dankwa.
In a Facebook post, Dankwa accused the NDC of replicating the same mistakes made by the outgoing administration by using inflammatory language and creating an atmosphere of fear. He argued that the Nukpenu’s comments were unnecessary and harmful. Dankwa wrote on his Facebook: “Testimony politicians don’t learn from the mistakes of their outgoing friends on the other side. I hope they remember some of the comments from the ruling party officials that contributed to their defeat.”
Dankwa further clarified that it was not Nukpenu’s responsibility to ensure the security of electoral officers. He stated, “Someone should tell him no one has tasked him to guarantee anyone’s safety or security, Dome-Kwabenya is not NDC-occupied territory in a warzone Ghana,” dismissing the claim that there was no real risk to the officers.
By highlighting Nukpenu’s comments as a dangerous echo of the outgoing administration’s mistakes, Dankwa’s remarks serve as a warning against using inflammatory rhetoric and creating a volatile atmosphere, especially when the electoral process is at a sensitive stage.
His criticism however suggests that the NDC is in danger of repeating past errors that could undermine their credibility and their publ
ic support.
