NDC Ashanti vote surge: Organizers attribute success to Mould’s training, support

Constituency organizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region have lauded the strategic efforts of Alexander Mould, crediting his innovative approach for the party’s significant increase in votes during the 2024 general elections. The organizers expressed deep gratitude to Mould, highlighting his hands-on training exercises and material support as key factors in their electoral success.
In a statement jointly signed by the constituency organizers, Mould’s team conducted a simulation exercise in Manhyia South, Bantama, and Kwabre East constituencies which played a vital role. This exercise, which involved polling station agents, ward collation officials, and pink sheet collectors, provided practical experience and enhanced their readiness for the election.
The simulation, designed to mimic the actual electoral process, allowed participants to understand procedures, anticipate challenges, and develop effective solutions. The organizers stated that the training was instrumental in improving their efficiency during the elections.
Data provided by the organizers showcases substantial gains in key constituencies as follows;
Manhyia South: NDC’s vote share increased from 15.87% in 2020 to 20.51% in 2024, a gain of 4.64 percentage points.
Bantama: NDC’s vote share rose from 13.45% in 2020 to 19.08% in 2024, an increase of 5.63 percentage points.
Kwabre East: NDC’s vote share surged from 22.11% in 2020 to 28.40% in 2024, a gain of 6.29 percentage points.
The organizers emphasized that these gains are a direct result of Mould’s strategic leadership, his commitment to strengthening the party, and his dedication to empowering party members. They also highlighted his generous donations of party T-shirts, financial assistance, numerous motorcycles, and his physical presence on the campaign trail.
In addition, the organizers have appealed to the party leadership to recognize and reward dedicated members who demonstrated commitment by contributing their time, resources, and knowledge to advance the party’s cause. They cautioned against the appointment of members who do not have a track record of contributing to the party in the region.
“We therefore, with the greatest of respect, wish to make it known to him, Chief Alexander Mould, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and all the respectable flanks and ranks of the noble Party that we are ever grateful for the ever affable self of Chief Alexander Mould,” the organizers stated. “It is our plea that in the wisdom of the appointing authorities should kindly consider the likes of those who spent time and resources in helping direct the region which yielded positive results not those exaggerated their role in the region with no impact.”
The organizers concluded their statement with the call, “Long Live NDC!!! Long Live Ghana!!!”
