The 16-year-old son of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, founder of Alive Chapel International Church, has been sentenced to six months in a senior correctional centre after pleading guilty to eight charges, including two counts of manslaughter.

The charges stem from a tragic road accident in East Legon that claimed the lives of two preteens.

Police prosecutors stated the teenager was showing off his parents’ Jaguar F-Pace when it collided with another vehicle. The boy, initially pleading not guilty, was remanded to the Osu Correctional Centre before his sentencing by the Family and Juvenile Court.

His parents, Bishop Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, along with Linda Bonsu Prempeh, were also arrested and charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive. They were granted bail.
