Former Education Minister Adutwum Promises Ideas-Driven NPP Primary Race:
NPP Flagbearership: Adutwum Calls for Unity and Decorous Campaign:

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, has committed to running a “principled, ideas-driven, and decorous” campaign as the party prepares for its forthcoming primaries.
In a statement released after a breakfast meeting with former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other aspirants in Nima, Dr. Adutwum emphasized that his approach to leadership is guided by values rather than ambition.
“Leadership, to me, is about integrity, inspiration, and the collective pursuit of national prosperity and not personal ambition,” he asserted. The former Education Minister stated his campaign would prioritize substantive ideas and dedicated service, highlighting the importance of constructive engagement during his ongoing nationwide consultations with party delegates.
Dr. Adutwum, widely recognized for his transformative education sector reforms, stressed the need for the NPP to project a culture of discipline and mutual respect throughout the campaign season.
“The NPP has always stood for discipline, progress, and tradition. Let us uphold these values as we work together toward victory in 2028 and beyond,” he urged. He expressed optimism that a united and focused party could “lead Ghana into a new era of growth, stability, and transformation.”
