“Education and accountable leadership key to transforming Africa’s future, eradicate woes of mothers” – Author Ernest Komla:

At the University of Ghana, Accra, author and CEO of JASA Link Ghana Limited, Ernest Komla Morkli, CEO of the Jasa Link Ghana Limited and an author has shared a compelling vision for Africa’s transformation, emphasizing the crucial roles of education and responsible leadership.
He said this in an interview with the media after he had successfully launched a new book ‘The Wails Of African Mothers’ at the University of Ghana, Accra. The book launch brought together academics, students, business leaders, and members of the public, all eager to hear Morkli’s perspectives on the continent’s future.
During his address, Morkli acknowledged the systemic issues and historical challenges hindering Africa’s progress but stressed that a brighter future is attainable through embracing key principles.
A central theme of Morkli’s message was the need to educate citizens about the responsibilities of their leaders, empowering them to make informed choices based on accountability rather than partisan loyalty. He envisioned a future where empowered individuals form NGOs and grassroots movements, holding leaders accountable and driving positive change from the ground up.
“The hope lies in fostering a generation that understands the power of their voice and uses it to demand good governance and responsible leadership,” Morkli declared. He advocated for education systems that cultivate critical thinking, ethical leadership, and civic engagement as crucial in shaping this new generation of change-makers.
Beyond education, Morkli highlighted the importance of economic empowerment, fostering a business environment that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship. He emphasized the need to create opportunities for young Africans to thrive within their own nations rather than seeking opportunities abroad.
While “The Wails of African Mothers” explores the struggles faced by African mothers, Morkli emphasized that its underlying message is one of hope and potential. He underscored the vital role of education in empowering communities and fostering informed citizenship, sharing a vision of young Africans equipped with critical thinking skills and a strong moral compass returning to their countries to transform their societies.
Referencing the narratives within his book, Morkli called for a renewed focus on preserving cultural values and strengthening families as cornerstones of a healthy and prosperous society. He argued that by drawing strength from its heritage and promoting strong communities, Africa can overcome its challenges and build a brighter future for all.
Morkli concluded his address with a passionate call to action, urging all stakeholders to embrace a shared vision of hope and work together to create a better future for Africa. “Despite the wails we hear, I firmly believe that it can be well with Africa,” he affirmed, adding that this relies on a commitment to education, responsible leadership, and empowering people to shape their own destinies.
