Labour Minister Rashid Pelpuo offers assurance, optimistic on TEWU strike resolution:

The Honourable Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, has expressed optimism regarding the resolution of the ongoing industrial strike action by the Teachers and Educational Workers’ Union (TEWU) of the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
In a recent broadcast segment on TV3 monitored by this portal, Dr. Pelpuo assured the public that the government is working diligently to address the issues at the heart of the labor dispute. He mentioned that a meeting was held and discussions were ongoing to get concrete commitments.
The Minister emphasized that the government is committed to finding a solution and that he is hopeful of a resolution that will bring the strike to a close. This comes after the government had a meeting with the union (TEWU). He added that a meeting has also been scheduled with the National Labour Commission. “The government is working to end the strike”.
