Afigya Kwabre South DCE pledges equitable development, prioritizes roads and calls for unified effort:
Madam Pearl Patricia Ankrah, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Afigya Kwabre South District in the Ashanti Region, has reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring equitable distribution of development throughout the district.
Speaking specifically about road infrastructure projects, the DCE assured residents that under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, the district would receive its fair share of national resources. She emphasized her determination to oversee the construction of roads in areas currently facing challenges due to their poor condition.
Following the Assembly’s first meeting, Madam Ankrah expressed her satisfaction with its successful conclusion and commended all stakeholders for their cooperation. She reiterated her willingness to work impartially with the Assembly members and appealed for their united efforts to advance the well-being of the district.
Hon. Gyasi Danso Misty, the Presiding Member and Assembly member for the Akrowa electoral area, expressed his delight that the Assembly successfully formed various steering committees during its inaugural meeting. He voiced optimism regarding the committees’ readiness to deliver on their respective duties promptly.
Citing the planning committee as an example, Hon. Danso Misty explained that it would assess the suitability and importance of proposed projects, such as markets, before their implementation. In conclusion, he expressed his satisfaction with the successful meeting, which spanned two sessions.
