MTN Ghana Expands Fiber-to-Home Services to Boost Internet Access- CEO Reveals:

MTN Ghana’s Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Blewett, has announced that the company’s Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services will expand internet access to households across major communities nationwide.
Speaking at a media and stakeholder forum in Tamale, Mr. Blewett emphasized that MTN’s FTTH solution addresses the growing reliance on internet connectivity in Ghanaian homes.
Mr. Blewett highlighted that this initiative aligns with MTN’s digital agenda to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals, businesses, and communities. He also stressed the importance of expanding digital infrastructure to enhance connectivity and drive economic growth.
To ensure future-proof connectivity, MTN is upgrading its infrastructure and investing in digital communication. Approximately 130 kilometers of fiber infrastructure will be relocated in 2025 to improve network resilience and expand capacity, paving the way for next-generation services and applications.
During his visit to the Northern region, Mr. Blewett engaged with stakeholders, including the Regional Minister, media representatives, staff, and trade partners. This outreach is part of MTN’s annual regional programs to gather feedback and update stakeholders on product and service innovations.
