Mr. James Kofi Nkansah, a media personality and a life activist, has warned Christians to desist from stinginess and wickedness towards giving to God, in the chapel.

According to him, most Christians still suffer poverty due to their skeptical beliefs on God’s blessings towards people who give, adding that this makes most of them wicked towards giving in the church.

He said this during the Annual Easter Convention of the Ofinso Zone Baptist Church. Mr. James Kofi Nkansah who delivered a compelling message, did it on behalf of Mr. Richard Agyare, the designated Chairman of the event.

Speaking to a gathering of church members, Mr. Nkansah refuted prevalent skepticism surrounding financial contributions to the church.

He emphasized the importance of overcoming this perception, urging congregants to embrace a spirit of generosity. “We must all contribute to the church,” Mr. Nkansah stated.

He also warned Christians to desist from stinginess in giving to God adding that, most Christians leave in abject poverty due to stinginess and wickedness towards giving to the Lord.

He acknowledged that differing beliefs about Christianity can sometimes hinder charitable giving, but he encouraged all to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to supporting God’s work.

Mr. Nkansah also called for a shift in attitudes toward church finances, asserting that contributions from congregants are intended to support the collective mission of the church rather than individual pastors.

He urged church leaders to prioritize assistance for the needy within their communities, highlighting the importance of using church resources to support vulnerable groups such as orphans, poor church members, and widows. He expressed disappointment over instances where churches with educational institutions fail to provide scholarships for deserving members.

Finally, he donated Gh¢10,000 to the church, on behalf of Mr. Richard Agyare. Adding that Mr. Agyare’s commitment to alleviating hardship in the area was evident as he honored the invitation to the convention and contributed 10,000 Ghana cedis to support church activities.

Rev. Anthony Yaw Badu, Mid. Ghana Sector Head of the Ghana Baptist Convention, praised Mr. Agyare’s generous donation and highlighted the pressing need for financial support in the Offinso Zone to facilitate their numerous activities.

He referenced the biblical figure Joseph of Arimathea, who used his resources to provide a dignified burial for Jesus, emphasizing that investing in God’s work attracts blessings. “We pray for God’s continued blessings upon Mr. Agyare as he supports the mission of the church”, “Rev. Badu added.
