Hon. David Boakye Ansah, Assemblyman for the Agyeimpra electoral area, has voiced concerns regarding the public’s growing distrust of politicians due to perceived broken promises and a lack of honesty.
However, he emphasized the critical role Christians play in politics and encouraged them to lead with integrity to improve society.
Speaking at the Annual Easter Convention held by the Offinso Zone of the Ghana Baptist Convention at Agyeimpra, Hon. Ansah, a committed member of the Baptist Church, stated that Christians, guided by their moral teachings, are ideally suited for political service.
“Politics should be a platform for Christians to serve their communities truthfully and effectively,” he said.
He specifically urged politicians to abandon hypocrisy and apply their religious moral principles to the task of governing the country. He believes that incorporating Christian values into politics is essential for building a more just and trustworthy society.
