Stop using Alan’s name to resurrect your deteriorating party, he’s not returning anywhere”- Solomon Owusu slams Ofosu Nkansah:

The Movement For Change (MFC) has strongly rebuked the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its former CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, for suggesting that Alan Kyerematen is returning to the NPP.
Solomon Owusu, a senior member of the MFC, cautioned the NPP against exploiting Alan Kyerematen’s name to revive their party’s flagging fortunes.
The rebuke comes in response to a Facebook post by Ofosu Nkansah on Friday, April 11, 2025, in which he called for unity within the NPP as they look ahead to the 2028 general elections and extended a welcome back to Kyerematen, who left the NPP to form the Movement For Change. “A united NPP will make a 2028 win much easier. Chief Alan and all those who left are welcome back to the Elephant family,” Ofosu Nkansah wrote, ending his post with the phrase “Once an Osonoba…”
In response, Solomon Owusu criticized Ofosu Nkansah and other NPP leaders for what he described as their past attacks on Alan Kyerematen leading up to the 2024 general elections. Owusu asserted that Kyerematen is content with his current political path within the Movement For Change and has no intention of rejoining the NPP.
“Alan Kyerematen is very much happy with his political trajectory, and at the appropriate time, he will address the nation,” Owusu stated.
Owusu further reminded Ghanaians that the NPP was a “declining party” just weeks before the 2024 elections, a reality he believes Ofosu Nkansah’s call for Kyerematen to return implicitly acknowledges.
Owusu warned that if the NPP’s strategy is to use Alan Kyerematen as a “punching bag” to relaunch their party, they should be prepared to face the full force of the Movement For Change’s opposition.
