Adum fire victims received a lifeline of hope as Mr. Patrick Yaw Boamah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei Central, presented a surprise donation of GH¢100,000. The generous contribution offers significant relief to the over 3,000 traders impacted by the recent devastating blaze.

Accompanied by Lawyer Obiri Yeboah, MP for Subin, Mr. Boamah, who has roots in the Ashanti Region, initially handed over GH¢50,000 in cash and pledged the remaining GH¢50,000. He further committed to donating 200 bags of cement to bolster rebuilding efforts.

Addressing the affected traders, Mr. Boamah lauded the dedication of Subin MP Lawyer Obiri Yeboah in championing support for the victims. He acknowledged the collaborative spirit in rallying aid from diverse sources.

Mr. Boamah’s contribution augments the increasing assistance from prominent figures in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other organizations following the tragic fire nearly two weeks prior. Donations have poured in from figures such as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice-President, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, NADMO, and business leaders.

Expressing profound gratitude, Adum fire victim representatives lauded Mr. Boamah’s timely and generous assistance. Prayers of thanks were offered for his kindness, and a call was made for other MPs to emulate his compassion and extend support. The need for sustained aid remains critical as the long and arduous journey of rebuilding businesses and lives commence.
