Explosive accusations are ripping through Ahafo Ano North as NDC executives vehemently deny any link to illegal mining. A fiery press conference saw party leaders denounce what they’re calling an “evil plot” to sabotage their reputations and undermine their chances in upcoming elections.

“They’re trying to destroy us with lies!” thundered NDC Communication Officer, Hon. Francis Akakpo Eliklim, his words ringing with indignation. He slammed the allegations as a baseless smear campaign orchestrated by “greedy individuals” driven by personal ambition.

Eliklim forcefully stated that NO NDC leader was involved in any illegal mining activities and challenged anyone to provide evidence to the contrary. He emphasized that all executives are engaged in legitimate work, from cocoa farming to sales management.

The focus of the alleged smear is also Richmond Boakye Agyeman, the NDC’s chosen candidate for District Chief Executive (DCE). Eliklim leapt to his defense, describing him as a “credible teacher and businessman.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Eliklim pointed out that the only mining operation in the area is a community mining project established by the previous NPP-led government, questioning the timing and motivation behind the accusations.

“We will not be intimidated,” declared Eliklim, his voice resolute. “We will expose those behind this malicious campaign and continue to serve the people of Ahafo Ano North with integrity.”

The NDC has vowed to fight back against what they see as a desperate attempt to derail their progress and undermine their support in the community. They are calling on all supporters to reject the lies and stand united against the “evil plot.”
