Eid- ul- Fitr: Kennedy Agyapong donates rice to muslim communities across Ghana, calls for national unity:

Spread the love

Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has donated 336 (50kg) bags of rice and 500 (5kg) bags of rice to Muslim communities throughout Ghana in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr. This continues a tradition of support for Muslim communities during Ramadan and Eid.

For more than a decade, Agyapong has provided assistance to Muslim communities during these religious periods. The aim of the donations is to assist families in celebrating Eid with dignity.

At the donation event, Agyapong emphasized the importance of national cohesion, stating, “Ghana is not divided by faith. We are united by our shared humanity. Whether Muslim, Christian, or traditionalist, it is our duty to uphold the values of peace, unity, and dignity.”

Agyapong also shared a personal connection to the Muslim community, saying, “In my own family, we have both Christians and Muslims. I was raised with a deep respect for both faiths, and I have always valued the warmth and loyalty of my Muslim brothers and sisters.”

The distribution of the donations was coordinated with Muslim leaders, Zongo community elders, and youth groups to ensure they reached those in need. Families in both urban and rural areas benefited from the initiative.

Religious leaders present expressed their gratitude and offered prayers for Agyapong, requesting divine protection and wisdom for him.

“As the crescent moon signals the end of Ramadan, may this act remind us that love unites us all,” Agyapong concluded, encouraging all Ghanaians to embrace peace, respect, and togetherness.
