A 51-year-old man identifying himself as a heavy-duty driver from Bogoso has publicly claimed to be the son of former President John Agyekum Kufuor. The claim was made during an interview on Lawson TV/FM.
The man stated that family sources informed him his late mother had a relationship with Kufuor. He said he was raised by his grandmother and was unaware of the alleged connection for many years.
According to the man, a family friend suggested in his 30s that his father was wealthy, prompting him to investigate. He said his inquiries led him to Kumasi, where he contacted Kufuor’s family. He claims he sought a meeting with the former president for two years but was unsuccessful.
A video of the interview has circulated online, with some social media users commenting on a perceived resemblance between the man and Kufuor.
