Ashanti Police appeal for public help in finding "Baba Macho" linked to MoMo vendor murders, three arrested:

The Ashanti Regional Police Command is actively searching for Martin Amoah, also known as Augustine Amoah or “Baba Macho,” who is considered a key suspect in the robberies and murders of two mobile money vendors in the Ashanti Region. This follows the arrest of three other suspects in connection with the crimes.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, announced the arrests of Charles Kwame Danso (23), Philip Fodjour (29), and Samuel Addae Mensah (42) at a press briefing held at the regional police headquarters. The suspects were apprehended on March 21st at Pankrono and Atimatim.
Police investigations have linked the arrested individuals to the February 13th murder of Patricia Nimako in Krofrom, where she was robbed and killed, as well as the March 10th robbery and murder of Gideon Owusu Sarpong in Kwadaso.
DCOP Teye-Cudjoe confirmed that the arrested suspects are currently in custody and will face justice in court. However, he emphasized that the search for Martin Amoah remains a priority. “We believe Amoah may be hiding in Kumasi, Dunkwa-on-Offin, [or] Diaso,” he stated.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander is urging the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of Martin Amoah. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the police immediately using the toll-free numbers 191, 112 (18555 for MTN and Telecel users).
The Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to bringing all perpetrators of these crimes to justice and is calling on the public to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with law enforcement.
