MMDCE Vetting: “200 aspirants vetted in phase one, more to come”- Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman:

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region has vetted more than 200 members vying for District and Municipal Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions.

The four-day vetting process in Kumasi, aimed at selecting suitable candidates for local government roles, has completed its initial phase. The final vetting sessions are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

Ashanti Regional Chairman, Andrews Nana Akwasi, has assured all aspirants of a fair and transparent process. “We’ve completed the first half of vetting and will continue on Monday and Tuesday,” he stated.

He also highlighted the strong level of interest in the positions, noting the keen competition.

He further indicated that before the start of the 2nd phase, names of those who qualified for the next stage in the first half will be announced.

In all, the regional chairman indicated that over 300 aspirants are expected to be vetted.

Meanwhile, many of the applicants who have been vetted so far, expressed hope that they will be selected, promising to diligently serve their districts if appointed.
