Ashanti Regional Minister designate Amoakohene vows to prove youth capabilities, urges for collective responsibilities
Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the newly appointed Ashanti Regional Minister designate, has stated that his appointment is an opportunity to demonstrate to Ghanaians and the world that young people are capable of achieving great things.
In his first media interaction since being named by President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the need for young leaders to seize the chance to prove their potential and to change the narrative around youth leadership.
Speaking on his role, Dr. Amoakohene asserted that every young person who is given an opportunity in a position of leadership should work with diligence and commitment, showing the world that the youth are indeed capable of handling responsibilities and bringing about significant positive change. He highlighted his belief in the capacity of young people to achieve great things when given the chance.
He stressed the need for youth to not only excel in their roles but also to inspire others with their success.
He expressed gratitude to President Mahama for the opportunity to serve, and vowed not to let the President and the youth down.
He called for the support of the people of Ashanti, the party, the chiefs, the religious leaders and the general public as a whole. He asked that they see him as one of them, as a son or brother and asked that he be corrected where he goes wrong.
