Following the president-elect John Mahama’s victory in the 2024 Ghanaian elections, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), the NPP’s running mate, is challenging Mahama to fulfill his campaign promises.

NAPO highlighted Mahama’s pledges to reduce the price of kenkey to 1 cedi, stabilize the dollar at 5 cedis to the dollar, and provide subsidized day-old chicks for poultry farming.

In a social media interview, NAPO stated that Ghanaians are “waiting to see these promises materialize.”

Mahama in the just ended 2024 election, secured 6,328,397 votes, defeating his close contender, Dr. Bawumia, who received 4,657,304 votes.
